Titus Announces $63.5M for Water Infrastructure in Nevada Thanks to Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

“Through upgrades to our water systems, this funding will help conserve water and support public health while creating good-paying jobs.”

Las Vegas, NV – Today Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-01) announced that, thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law she championed in Congress, Nevada will be receiving $63,521,000 in new funding for drinking water infrastructure upgrades from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.

“I supported and voted for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law because of investments like this one which will help ensure access to safe, clean drinking water for my constituents and communities across Nevada,” said Rep. Titus. “Through upgrades to our water systems, this funding will help conserve water and support public health while creating good-paying jobs.”

Since her tenure in the Nevada state legislature, Congresswoman Titus has pushed to preserve Southern Nevadans’ access to clean water and address water-related challenges, including drought. Last Congress, she fought for water infrastructure programs like extending the Invasive Species in Alpine Lakes Pilot Program and opening access for communities to receive technical assistance faster to address their local water-related challenges. According to the Las Vegas Sun, Rep. Titus was “laser-focused” on passing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, calling it “her main priority.”
