Rep. Titus Announces $27.8 Million for Harry Reid International Airport from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

Las Vegas, NV – Today Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-01), senior member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation, announced $27.8 million for Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Las Vegas, NV – Today Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-01), senior member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation, announced $27.8 million for Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

“I am excited to announce the Department of Transportation has awarded $27.8 million to Harry Reid International Airport which will allow for necessary resiliency and restoration projects on existing infrastructure,” said Rep. Dina Titus. “As a senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee I championed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law in the House which is continuing to make historic investments in our nation’s infrastructure by improving our roads, bridges, and airports. Harry Reid International Airport has consistently seen annual increases in travelers, and these funds will allow visitors to experience safe travel to and from Southern Nevada.”

Background

This project installs runway edge drains to protect the Runway 8R/26L and taxiway pavements from deterioration. It will also reconstruct 104,416 square yards of the existing holding pad 7 apron pavement that has reached the end of its useful life.

The Department of Transportation is distributing this grant through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to Clark County. The grant totals $27,824,693.
