Investments in Southern Nevada's Surface Transportation

As the Representative of Nevada’s Third District, I am committed to fighting on behalf of the needs of my constituents and my community.  As the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee works on the Fiscal Year 2010 Surface Transportation Reauthorization bill, I will be fighting for the projects and priorities we must address to improve Southern Nevada’s roads and highways.  Below is the list of projects I have requested funding for through this important legislation.

--Congresswoman Dina Titus

•    $29,548,000 for planning, design and construction of interchanges at Mile Posts 108, 118, 120 along I-15 in the Mesquite Area, Mesquite, NV.

•    $20,000,000 to engineer, design and acquire right-of-way for bypass project from US 95 Freeway extension at mile marker 55 to the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge through a Local Public Agency agreement with Boulder City, Nevada

•    $8,500,000 to construct Horizon Drive @ I-515 Interchange Operational Improvements Project in Henderson, NV

•    $8,000,000 to design and construct the I-15/Starr Road Interchange in Henderson, NV

•    $10,000,000 to design and construct the ACE Boulder Highway Bus Rapid Transit Project in Clark County, NV.

•    $30,000,000 to design and construct Southern Nevada System-to-System Beltway Interchanges in Clark County, NV

•    $20,000,000 for design and right-of-way acquisition of the Sheep Mountain Parkway between CC215 and Fort Apache Road in Las Vegas, NV.

•    $10,000,000 to acquire and deploy transit vehicles and related facilities in Clark County, NV

•    $10,000,000 for environmental review, engineering and design for the MAGLEV project between Las Vegas, NV and Anaheim, CA, a cooperative effort between the Nevada Department of Transportation, and the California-Nevada Super Speed Train Commission.

•    $15,000,000 to design and construct widening of I-15 from Primm to the Resort Corridor.

•    $15,000,000 to construct US95 widening from Rainbow Blvd. to Kyle Canyon
