Dear Ms. Boor,
I want to thank you and the United Service Organizations (USO) for the important work that you and your partners are doing for our service men and women. Since before World War II, the USO has been forging a link between the U.S. Military and the American public. This link provides our Armed Service members valuable services wherever they are throughout the world. Your programs and services bring comfort and morale boost for our brave men and women stationed around the globe. The USO allows the American public important and meaningful ways to show its appreciation for members of the Armed Services.
As you may know, McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas is located in my Congressional District. Often, as I travel between Nevada and Washington, D.C., I see many members of the Armed Services in the airport. I believe that these service members would greatly benefit from a USO center located in McCarran International Airport.
It is my understanding that the process for a USO center in the airport is already underway; I am pleased that this process is currently ongoing. I write today to voice my strong support for this facility, to encourage you to make it a priority, and to offer any assistance that will see this project to its earliest possible completion. Establishing this center will be a valuable asset to Armed Services members as they transition through the airport.
Sincerely,
Dina Titus
Member of Congress
