Las Vegas, NV – Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District released the following statement in recognition of Memorial Day, observed on Monday, May 26:
“Today we join with friends, neighbors, and family to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our country and the principles we hold dear. Thanks to the brave efforts of so many servicemen and women, our country remains a beacon of freedom and justice in the world today. As we remember our fallen heroes, we must also honor our veterans and military families and renew the promise to support our troops in the field and in their transition back to civilian life.
“I join with all Nevadans and Americans in thanking those who have answered the call to duty and bravely served our country. You have my commitment to never leaving a soldier behind. Happy Memorial Day.”
