Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District will travel with House colleagues to Israel on Sunday, August 4, to gain a firsthand understanding of some of the most important U.S. foreign policy interests in the Middle East. Titus will meet with senior Israeli and Palestinian leaders to discuss ongoing developments in the region. Meetings with the Israeli business community will explore opportunities for bilateral economic and technological cooperation on issues such as tourism and renewable energy, which are especially important for Nevada.

“I look forward to traveling throughout the State of Israel to meet with a diverse group of regional leaders to learn more about the peace process and current political and economic trends in the region,” said Titus. “At a time of great instability in the region, Israel is a critical ally and reliable partner.”

The trip is sponsored by the American Israel Educational Foundation (AIEF), a charity affiliated with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). AIEF Israel seminars are considered among the most substantive, rigorous, and valuable opportunities for members of Congress to learn about the U.S.-Israel relationship. The trip is paid for by AIEF which is privately funded by American citizens.
