Las Vegas, NV – Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District, a member of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, announced $3 million in Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program grant awards for the United States Veterans Initiative (U.S. Vets) site in Las Vegas. This funding is in addition to the $2.6 million SSVF grant announced by Titus in August and will further advance U.S. Vets’ efforts to combat veteran homelessness in Southern Nevada. This grant is part of a national effort by the VA to aid over 70,000 homeless and at-risk veterans and their families. It will be utilized to provide services to low-income veterans and their families who are living in, or transitioning to, permanent housing.

“Nevada’s veterans have made a tremendous sacrifice in service to our nation; yet too many of these heroes are struggling to keep a roof over their heads. I am pleased to announce this grant funding which will increase resources available to help Southern Nevada's most vulnerable veteran families get back on their feet and transition to permanent housing.”
