January 27, 2015 Today Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District announced her subcommittee assignments on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Representative Titus will once again serve on the Subcommittees on Highways and Transit; Aviation; Water Resources and the Environment; and Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Preparedness. “I am honored to once again serve on these subcommittees that are so critical to Southern Nevada. Transportation and infrastructure are vital to our local economy and these assignments give us a seat at the table for some of the most important legislative issues facing our region. I look forward to using my position to advocate for the needs of Nevada including the development of Interstate 11, continued modernization of our nation’s aviation system, the development of autonomous aerial systems, advancing technologies like driverless vehicles, and protecting the precious water resources that allow Southern Nevada to thrive. I look forward to working with my Nevada colleague, Rep. Cresent Hardy as he joins the Committee.” |
