Today Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District released the following statement in regards to the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee consideration of H.R. 1732, the so-called Regulatory Integrity Protection Act.

“Consideration of this legislation is beyond premature. I have been forthcoming with my concerns about the proposed rule by the EPA and the Army Corps to define Waters of the United States under the Clean Water Act. It is vital that any final rule provides certainty and clarity for our local communities, developers, ranchers, and farmers. Trying to press the reset button on a rule that has not yet been finalized and before anyone has even had a chance to see it, is bad policy. I look forward to reviewing the final rule and consulting with our local stakeholders prior to casting judgment.”
