Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District released the following statement in response to several problems found in the Veteran Administration’s Southern Nevada Healthcare System. These issues were detailed in a final report released last week by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs Office of the Inspector General on VA health care facility operations in Las Vegas.

“I am concerned by the report of incomplete electronic health records and uncorrected security deficiencies at pharmacies that dispense controlled substances," said Congresswoman Dina Titus, Ranking Member of the VA Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs. "I spoke with management at the Southern Nevada Healthcare System and I'm pleased to hear that they have taken actions to begin to address these concerns. Our veterans deserve first-rate healthcare. I urge the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System to continue to work diligently on the implementation of these recommendations to increase efficiency, safety, and quality of healthcare for Southern Nevada's veterans."
