The First Congressional District of Nevada lies in the heart of Southern Nevada. It stretches from Boulder City to Henderson, from Downtown Las Vegas along the fabulous Las Vegas Strip to Seven Hills. It includes Allegiant Stadium and the T-Mobile Arena, UNLV and Nevada State College, the Neon Museum and the National Atomic Testing Museum.
Once just a small gambling town in the desert, Southern Nevada is now one of the top destinations in the world for business and vacation travel. Last year, more than 37 million visitors came to enjoy the Valley’s world class entertainment, food, and shopping.
A variety of culturally vibrant communities contributes to the District’s identity. It is home to family-owned small businesses, innovative technology companies, important educational institutions, and the world’s leading hospitality and entertainment venues.
If it’s happening in Southern Nevada, it is very likely happening in District One. Whether a Raiders game or a Formula One race, America’s largest Ferris wheel or the Hoover Dam, or you can find any experience in District One.
To highlight new and exciting projects and events that epitomize our entrepreneurial spirit, I will use the hashtag #OnlyInDistrictOne on Twitter @RepDinaTitus, and I encourage you to join the conversation.
