Dina Titus, D-Nev., also called for Acosta’s resignation. “Labor Secretary Alex Acosta failed miserably to deliver justice for the underage girls that Jeffrey Epstein abused and exploited,” Titus said in a statement. “The Department of Labor is responsible for handling sexual harassment cases and it should never have been overseen by someone who allowed a serial sexual predator to live a life of luxury.”

While states including Nevada have moved swiftly on gun violence because of federal inaction, two House Democrats have filed legislation in Congress to ban the manufacture, sale and possession of bump stock devices that were used in Las Vegas to kill 58 people and injure hundreds more.

KTNV: Las Vegas airport receiving $7.5 million grant

On June 24, Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted $7.5 million to McCarran International Airport. Congresswoman Titus, who sits on the Transportation and Infrastructure Aviation Subcommittee, voted to pass the reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration which included $3.35 billion dollars for the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) over five years.
