Las Vegas, NV – Today Representative Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District released the following statement after the Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency use authorization for the first COVID-19 vaccine:                                                                                                                      

“At this especially difficult period in the pandemic, the scientists and researchers who developed this vaccine have given us hope,” said Congresswoman Titus (NV-1). “We are grateful to them and to the public health experts who independently evaluated the vaccine’s safety and efficacy. While we can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel, we must not let down our guard. The health of our loved ones is too important. I am more committed than ever to passing a bill that provides relief for Southern Nevadans and funds to broadly and safely distribute the vaccine.”
