Today Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District released the following statement after President Trump and Republicans released an edited memo of classified information to the public in an attempt to discredit the FBI.  

“Republicans are willing to jeopardize our national security by attacking and undermining an FBI investigation of one of Trump’s advisers in a memo that has material omissions of fact, distortions, and ulterior motives. If Republicans really distrusted the FBI, why did they just pass a FISA bill that allows law enforcement to conduct warrantless searches of the communications of Americans? This is a shameful attempt to discredit and preempt the Mueller investigation by Republicans and Chairman Nunes. Something doesn’t add up. Trump has something to hide.”
