Congress must address criminal and economic justice reforms in our communities. January 12, 2018 Las Vegas – Today Rep. Titus will join members of the Las Vegas Medical Marijuana Association and marijuana business owners to commemorate Civil Rights pioneer Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and demand that Congress and the Trump Administration take action to address criminal and economic justice reforms in Southern Nevada to create more minority-owned businesses. Nationwide, less than five percent of marijuana dispensaries are black-owned, according to a recent survey. In Nevada, only two dispensaries are black-owned. As the nation rallies to undo the harm done by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Rep. Titus and local business leaders will demand action to pass laws that protect legal marijuana businesses and empower minority entrepreneurs across the nation. WHO:
