Republicans chose to pass a tax scam rather than properly fund the government. January 18, 2018 Today Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District released the following statement after voting against the Republican’s fourth continuing resolution in FY18. “For the fourth time in FY18, the so-called Party of Fiscal Responsibility has been unable to advance a long-term spending plan and has resorted to a stopgap measure that overlooks the harsh realities facing our nation. In the past year, Republicans chose to pass a tax scam for billionaires and attack the Affordable Care Act while failing to work with Democrats on passing a funding solution that provides stability for our military, veterans, and working families. For the last 120 days, the GOP has ignored DACA and CHIP and provided a stage for the President to embarrass himself time and again. The GOP needs to take a look in the mirror and across the aisle.” |
