Rep. Titus ensured that lawmakers study the state's latest report on the dangers of Yucca Mountain and be wary of legislation to ram the project down the throats of Nevadans. January 26, 2018 TITUS LEADS LETTERS TO COMMITTEE LEADERS ON NEW YUCCA MOUNTAIN REPORT Today Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District sent letters to lawmakers on the House Committee on Appropriations and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce to highlight a new report by the State of Nevada’s Agency for Nuclear Projects on H.R. 3053, the Nuclear Waste Policy Amendments Act of 2017. Rep. Titus led the letter and was joined in support by Reps. Rosen and Kihuen. In April of 2017, Rep. Titus testified at a House Committee on Energy and Commerce hearing in opposition to H.R. 3053 highlighting the numerous flaws in the legislation and the direct attacks on the rights of the State of Nevada.
