Regardless of the shooter’s motive, we must recognize that there are actions we can and should take to reduce gun violence. January 29, 2019 Representative Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District released the following statement in response to the conclusion of the FBI investigation into the deadliest mass shooting by an individual in American history, which took place in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017. “Regardless of the shooter’s motive, we must recognize that there are actions we can and should take to reduce gun violence,” said Congresswoman Titus (NV-1). “We can start with laws that ban bump stocks and expand background checks. Meantime our community has responded to this senseless mass shooting by reminding the world that Las Vegas will always be strong.” ### |
