Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District announced that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded over $4.5 million in grants that will help approximately 1,000 homeless and at-risk veterans and their families living in Nevada. The Nevada grantees include: $1,207,000 to the United States Veterans Initiative; $1,931,768 to the Vietnam Veterans of California, Inc.; $456,755 to the Salvation Army; and $926,248 to HELP Social Service Corporation.

“Our veterans deserve the best care we can possibly provide them when they return home,” said Congresswoman Titus, member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. “With these grants, we can strengthen community organizations across the state to help prevent and end veterans’ homelessness in Nevada.”
