We are not a nation that discriminates or makes policies by tweets. July 24, 2017 Today Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District issued the following statement on Senate Republican leadership’s plan to hold a vote tomorrow to repeal the Affordable Care Act. “Senate Republican leaders are more concerned about appeasing President Trump than they are with protecting those who rely on the Affordable Care Act. The vote they want to bring to the floor is like a game of Russian roulette – no one knows what the result will be. The majority of people in my district know the price is too high and the risk is too great. It is time the Republicans stop threatening the healthcare of millions and work with Democrats to find solutions that will improve lives rather than wreak havoc.” |
