Las Vegas – Today Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District released a statement to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Basin and Range National Monument on July 10, 2016.

“One year ago, I was proud to participate in the designation of Basin and Range National Monument with President Obama, Senator Reid, and all the Nevadans who had advocated for establishing this lasting symbol of public spaces and public art. As we celebrate Basin and Range’s first anniversary, let us remember that it is a grand privilege and responsibility to protect Basin and Range’s wondrous tableau of ancient drawings, mountains, flora, and fauna for generations to come. Together we must all keep working to preserve this time capsule of Nevada’s many cultural, historic, and natural wonders.”
