Today Congresswoman Dina Titus released the following statement after the National Hockey League’s Board of Governors unanimously approved an expansion team in Las Vegas. 

“Today’s announcement by the NHL is great news for Nevada. There is no better time than now and no better place than the entertainment capital of the world for one of the most fast-paced, action-packed, and exciting professional sports leagues. This new team and its hockey nights in Las Vegas will help build local pride, community spirit, and civic camaraderie. It will also create jobs, attract visitors, and help revitalize our economy. I want to thank the NHL and everyone who has helped bring hockey to the Silver State and look forward to watching the puck drop in the heart of my district.”
