Representative Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District released the following statement after voting to overturn President Trump’s veto of the resolution passed by Congress that would have put an end to Trump’s declaration of an emergency at the border:

“Donald Trump promised Mexico would pay for the wall and instead he stole from our troops to pay for some of it,” said Congresswoman Titus (NV-1). “While I am disappointed that many of my Republican colleagues have thrown the Constitution aside, I am confident that our courts will not. Donald Trump’s unconstitutional decision to declare a fake emergency cannot stand.”
