Las Vegas – Today Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District applauded the selection of Rossi Ralenkotter, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority President and CEO, as an inaugural member of the National Advisory Committee on Travel and Tourism Infrastructure. (NACTTI)

The U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx selected Ralenkotter and other industry leaders to the two-year position in an effort to develop a national strategy for ensuring that our transportation policies align with the needs of travelers.

Congresswoman Titus, a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, spearheaded the creation of the NACTTI with an amendment to the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act of 2015, which was signed into law by President Obama in December of last year.

“There is no better advocate for Las Vegas and our nation’s travel industry than Rossi,” Rep. Titus said. “He has been a pacesetter in the field for more than four decades and a valuable resource for expanding the Southern Nevada economy. The committee will greatly benefit from his knowledge and passion.”

“Tourism is reliant on safe and efficient transportation infrastructure, so our industry leaders are excited to have a role in providing our insight to the Department of Transportation and transportation agencies across the country,” said Rossi Ralenkotter, president/CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. “It is an honor to represent the tourism industry on this new advisory committee. Thank you to Congresswoman Titus for her continued commitment to Las Vegas and the tourism industry and her leadership in transportation improvements.”
