Congresswoman Dina Titus released the following statement today on the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee passage of H.R. 697, the Three Kids Mine Remediation and Reclamation Act. Congresswoman Titus is a lead cosponsor of the legislation, which passed the House of Representatives on July 22, 2013. Congresswoman Titus is a lead cosponsor of the legislation, which passed the House of Representatives on July 22, 2013.
“Today the Senate took an important step to advance this vital legislation for Southern Nevada,” said Congresswoman Titus. “This bipartisan bill, which enjoys the support of the entire Nevada delegation and passed the House of Representatives with unanimous support, is critical to the reclamation and redevelopment of long-dormant, industrial lands. Passage of this legislation will lead to new jobs and economic opportunities for our region.”
