Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District released the following statement in opposition to the House Republican’s Continuing Resolution:

“Holding our government hostage for political gain is an irresponsible and dangerous precedent to set. Today’s vote will be yet another example of Republicans’ failure to put aside their extreme ideology and do what’s right for the country. By actively refusing to put forth a serious plan to fund the government, Republicans have made the reckless choice to shut down the federal government. I will not support this irresponsible proposal. It’s time for Republicans to stop playing political games and finally get to work for the American people.”
