Las Vegas—Today Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District issued a statement to commemorate Labor Day.

“Today we honor the industriousness, talent, and perseverance of American workers. Our infrastructure, buildings, and businesses across Southern Nevada are evidence of their many contributions. But we must not forget that workers, past and present, have faced exploitation, discrimination, and other unacceptable treatment on the job. On Labor Day we renew our commitment to ensure employers offer equal pay for equal work, pay livable wages, provide quality health care, guarantee on-the-job safety, protect retirement, and condemn workplace discrimination of all kinds. Together we can secure the best conditions for the world’s greatest workforce, which benefits us all.”
