Washington, DC – Today Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-01), a member of the Transportation & Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation and Co-Chair of the Congressional Unmanned Systems Caucus, issued the following statement in response to the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) announcement of $480,514 for Harry Reid International Airport and $2,453,125 for Boulder City Municipal through the Airport Improvement Program. This grant program funds airport infrastructure projects such as runways, taxiways, airport signage, airport lighting, and airport markings.

“The Airport Improvement Program is essential to strengthening our nation's aviation infrastructure,” said Rep. Titus. “I’m happy this funding will be used at Harry Reid International Airport for identifying and assessing improvements for airfield pavement and at Boulder City Municipal to improve apron lighting. These projects will help ensure visitors can travel safely to and from Southern Nevada.”
