"I acted immediately to ensure the weapons-grade plutonium shipped to Nevada by the Trump Administration was removed. I’m glad it has been taken out of our state and I will continue to monitor the Department of Energy’s actions and hold them accountable,” said Rep. Titus.
WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-01) issued the following statement after meeting with Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Administrator Jill Hruby today to discuss the removal of all weapons-grade plutonium, that secretly shipped to Nevada under the Trump Administration, was completed four years ahead of schedule:
“I was the first to say Rick Perry can’t be trusted to serve as the Secretary of Energy and call him out for secretive plutonium shipments. I acted immediately to ensure the weapons-grade plutonium shipped to Nevada by the Trump Administration was removed. I’m glad it has been taken out of our state and I will continue to monitor the Department of Energy’s actions and hold them accountable,” said Rep. Titus.
