Rep. Titus to Serve on Three House Committees, Elected Ranking Member of Subcommittee in 118th Congress

Washington, D.C. – Today Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-01) announced her committee appointments for the 118th Congress. Congresswoman Titus will serve on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and the House Committee on Homeland Security.

Rep. Titus will also serve as Ranking Member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management. This subcommittee conducts oversight of agencies promoting economic development in economically distressed communities, along with federal management of natural disasters and other emergencies, including FEMA, as well as the administration of public buildings.

“I’m honored to once again give Nevadans a seat at the table on three critical House committees: Transportation and Infrastructure, Foreign Affairs, and Homeland Security,” said Rep. Titus. “Investing in our infrastructure impacts not only the local economy of Nevada’s First District, but – with Las Vegas’ deep and vibrant ties to the tourism and hospitality sectors – industries across the U.S. and communities around the world. As Ranking Member of the Economic Development Subcommittee, I look forward to advocating for District One’s continued economic security and resiliency.

“As I begin my seventh year as a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I will be continuing my work to advance human rights globally, strengthen partnerships with our allies, and foster the principles of democracy abroad.

“And where our homeland security is concerned, I am committed to ensuring we remain vigilant in protecting against threats both domestic and foreign. I’ll continue to make sure that on all of these issues, the First District’s voice is heard in the 118th Congress.”
