House Transportation Committee Passes Rep. Titus’s Disaster Survivors Fairness Act

Washington, DC – After the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee unanimously passed her bipartisan Disaster Survivors Fairness Act of 2023, Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-01), Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management, issued the following statement:

“Today’s passage of my legislation in committee underscores the importance of expeditiously and equitably supporting those who’ve endured major disasters.

“I’m grateful to have worked with my colleagues in both parties to cut red tape at FEMA, thereby maximizing efficiency within the federal government and helping families and communities affected by disasters come back stronger and faster. This legislation is a significant investment in those objectives, and I urge the House to pass it.”
