Washington, DC – Today Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-01), member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, released the following statement on the articles of impeachment for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. 

“The articles of impeachment introduced by extreme, far-right Republicans are devoid of any evidence or constitutional reason,” said Rep. Titus. “From the beginning, this sham impeachment has proven that Republicans have no interest in actual solutions and would rather engage in political stunts. They have rejected all impeachment precedent of due process, ignored President Biden’s supplemental border funding package, and vowed to bury any bipartisan deal reached in the Senate regardless of the content. It’s time to get serious about border security and end these pointless partisan games.”
