The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is celebrating the expansion of its bike share program.

East Las Vegas is getting 37 new electric bikes and 24 docks across six new stations, with four new docks at the East Las Vegas Community Center being unveiled Wednesday morning.

The expansion of the program is thanks to more than $142,000 in federal funding secured by Congresswoman Dina Titus, who was also in attendance.

The station at the East Las Vegas community center features custom art from local artist Melody Gallegos, a resident of East Las Vegas, whose design was inspired by Hispanic culture.
