Today Representative Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District released the following statement in response to the redacted version of the Special Counsel’s report:

“The redacted version of the Mueller report details the sweeping Russian effort to help Donald Trump win the presidency and the repeated attempts of Donald Trump and his allies to minimize Vladimir Putin’s attack on our democracy,” said Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-1).  “It recounts the many outright lies the President and his aides have told the American people and the press.

“Most notably, this redacted report contains disturbing evidence that President Trump engaged in obstruction of justice. Since the Special Counsel stated he could not exonerate the President, Congress must hold the President fully accountable for his actions. In order for Congress to carry out its constitutional obligations, Special Counsel Mueller must testify before Congress.

“All Americans should be alarmed by the extent to which President Trump has shown a disregard for the rule of law and a disdain for the basic principles of our democracy.”
