Today Representative Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District released a statement in response to a report from the Office of Inspector General in the U.S. General Services Administration on the Trump Organization’s lease of the Old Post Office Building. A senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Congresswoman Titus is also the leading Democrat on the Economic Development, Public Buildings and Emergency Management Subcommittee, which oversees the GSA. 

“The Inspector General’s report provides new evidence that Donald Trump is violating the Constitution by refusing to separate himself from the Trump Organization’s business interests,” said Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-1). “As long as the President continues to personally profit from the Trump Hotel in Washington, he is essentially accepting bribes from giant corporations looking for sweetheart deals and from foreign interests currying favor. Instead of draining the swamp, Donald Trump is selling out our democracy to the highest bidder. As the leading Democrat on the subcommittee responsible for overseeing the GSA, I will lead the effort to hold the Trump Administration accountable for this egregious violation of the Constitution.”
