Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District announced that the U.S. Department of Labor will award $1,117,619 to the State of Nevada. These funds will be used to continue re-employment and eligibility assessments (REA) which provide unemployment beneficiaries with personalized, re-employment plans based on their career interests and local labor market information.

“Nevada's unemployment rate has slowly improved but there are still far too many people struggling to find work. We must continue to do everything that we can to help these individuals find and fill new employment opportunities,” said Congresswoman Titus. “The REA program has helped many Nevadans provide for their families and stay in their homes. This grant award will allow the program to continue its important work which benefits both individuals’ financial security and Nevada’s economic stability.”
