Titus Announces More Beds for Homeless Veterans

No one who wore the uniform deserves to be on the streets. September 11, 2017 Las Vegas – Today Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District announced that the Department of Veterans Affairs awarded Las Vegas shelters funding to provide 298 beds for homeless veterans. The following organizations were chosen as recipients: HELP Las Vegas Housing Corporation, The Salvation Army, and United States Veterans Initiative. “While we have made progress in combating homelessness in our community, we must continue to have a zero tolerance policy. No one who wore the uniform should ever be without a roof over his or her head.” |
