Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District released the following statement in response to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator John Pistole's announcement today that TSA will drop its proposal to permit passengers to bring knives and certain sporting equipment in the aircraft cabin.

"I'm pleased that TSA listened to our concerns and reversed its proposal to allow knives on airplanes," Congresswoman Titus said. “As we know, the threat of terrorism remains. We must continue to be vigilant and focus on ways to ensure the highest level of safety for passengers and crews traveling to and from Las Vegas and across the United States.”
