Today Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada’s First Congressional District released the following statement after news reports suggested that President Donald Trump asked former FBI Director James Comey to call off an investigation of Michael Flynn, the disgraced former National Security Adviser.

“Every passing hour, President Trump’s incompetence, ignorance, and poor judgment do more damage to our nation. If what the New York Times reported is true, it is clear that the president was working to obstruct justice. We need Republicans to stand up to their disgraceful standard bearer and join Democrats to establish an independent commission to investigate President Trump.”
