Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District released the following statement today on the House passage of a 2-year budget deal:

“Today’s deal offers a minor reprieve from the Republican dysfunction and brinkmanship that have led our country from crisis to crisis. This agreement is not perfect, but it is a small step forward in preventing another manufactured government shutdown,” said Titus. “I'm very disappointed that today’s bill does not provide a long-term, balanced fiscal course for the country. It also ignores a critical extension of emergency unemployment benefits. Failing to renew this program before the end of the year will cause significant damage to our economy and devastate unemployed Nevadans already struggling to make ends meet.”
