Las Vegas, NV - Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District released the following statement today after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in a 2-1 vote ordered the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to continue the licensing process for the proposed nuclear waste project at Yucca Mountain:

“I am disappointed by the split-decision by the court, and will be writing to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to yet again lay out the reasons why they should reject this license once and for all. I will do everything in my power to stop this misguided attempt to turn Nevada into America’s nuclear waste dump.”
