Following President Obama’s State of the Union address, Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District issued the following statement:
“Tonight I was pleased to hear the President deliver a simple, yet powerful message:  To continue to move our nation forward, we must create opportunities for all to succeed. From passing comprehensive immigration reform to increasing access to job training programs and lowering the cost of higher education, Congress must take action to support policies that empower people with the skills and tools they need to achieve their piece of the American dream.
“Equal opportunity for all is the foundation of the American Dream and the key to growing our economy, strengthening the middle class, and securing a better future for the next generations. That’s the message I took away from tonight’s address, and hopefully, my colleagues did as well. I hope we will be able to work in a bipartisan fashion to achieve these goals.”
