Washington, DC – Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District released the following statement today on the House Veterans Affairs Committee vote to subpoena documents from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The subpoena is limited to documents related to the alleged destruction of a secret waitlist at the Phoenix VA hospital:
“Today I supported a limited subpoena of documents related to the ongoing investigation of an alleged “secret” list of patients at the Phoenix VA Health Care System. It is critical that our committee have all of the information we need to conduct meaningful and thorough oversight. We owe it to our nation’s heroes to ensure that they are receiving the best medical care possible.”
