Rep. Titus Introduces Bipartisan Legislation to Fight Human Trafficking

The legislation will mandate that airlines provide critical training to flight attendants, pilots and dispatchers for spotting signs of trafficking and reporting incidents to law enforcement. The Department of Homeland Security has a training framework available. Airlines and industry contractors can choose to use the DHS information or create their own based on federal guidelines.The bi-partisan bill, co-sponsored with Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA), comes as human trafficking continues as a growing national problem.
