Many of our military heroes have been separated from their pets, and countless rescue dogs remain in limbo around the globe as a result of this policy, but Titus is making progress.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced Tuesday it is banning evictions in areas ?with “substantial or high levels of community transmission” of COVID-19? for 60 days, heeding the calls of lawmakers, including Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV), who backed extending a national moratorium.

All seven of Congresswoman Titus’ Community Funding Project requests received final passage as part of consideration of nine of the annual appropriations bills to fund the federal government for Fiscal Year 2022.

President Joe Biden quickly vowed to appeal the decision, but in the meantime the estimated 80,000 undocumented immigrants colloquially known as Dreamers remain vulnerable and frustrated at yet another hurdle in their fight for citizenship.

Less than 72 hours after a federal judge in Texas declared the program unconstitutional, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) began canceling important biometric appointments for initial DACA applicants, many of whom have waited years to apply to the program and months for these certifications that are mandatory application requirements.
